THE MIGHTY K IS BACK
Yes yes yes cut-fiends- Been working hard on getting the Kilgour crew back on Da Row (click). It is with no small excitement that I can announced today that Kilgour bespoke, team helmed by Cut Master General Will Adams, who also cuts a dash in lycra (click). HIs deft tailoring verve is gonna be back in action from mid August as bespoke operations resume in one level of my 31 Savile Row creative atelier complex, AKA the basement. “Yay”, as a believe numerous young people are inclined say at such positive junctures. Significant Kilgour fan Big Alfred Hitchcock would have also been pleased.
“After closing the store at Number 5 it was vital to get back on to The Row as soon as possible” Adams told me yesterday over a particular potent espresso and modest plate of cannoli. “Our tailors, cloth merchants and suppliers are all local and we have missed being part of the community and will be so happy being back amongst it.” he continues, a man who really knows about make-NB. his race bike is custom built bike by Italians ‘Legend’, while his lyrca mix is from Rapha and Pas Normal Studio.
Also on board at Kilgour is General Manager and hands on Style Monger, Alex Lamb, who told me “To be back on The Row and offering our iconic Kilgour bespoke is all we want to do, and to be part of an energetic, fresh take on what bespoke Savile Row is about feels very natural” Yes Mr.Lamb. Personally I couldn’t bare to see the blood line of this historic tailor disappear from Saviles. I’ve also got too, too many of my style clients still double keen to get deft bespoke Kilgour action on their backs to let this marque go. More intel as and when it happens, but for now, first and last shots are by another important K, Nick Knight (clickmans) and are from the Brandelli era. Simply had to post them. Stay tuned, roger?
Stubbs out.
